Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker contender on the planet by many of the top professionals. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching the age of one. His grandpa introduced him to one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was addicted to poker and wanted to discover anything he possibly could about poker. Ivey credits his success to discipline and a continuing love for poker. He says that he is picking up skills every single day and is incredibly humble about his accomplishments. He knows he makes mistakes in each game of poker and constantly aspires to get better.

Despite the fact that Phil has won some big tournaments, he likes destroying money games on a normal basis.
