Web poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers acquire 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with an amount in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The bank pays out cash even with your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
