Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the west in a wonderful game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers play with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their $$$$.
One more Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game pace, newcomers will be able to take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied choices.
It’s also easier to participate in for an extended time with only a small amount of cash seeing as, to lose, both of your hands must be under both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the dealer is given 7 cards face down.
One five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
