Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker competitor on the planet by quite a few of the top pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before his first birthday. His grandfather introduced him to penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was addicted to poker and wished to learn whatever he possibly could about the game. Phil made a decision to take his skills to the next level and headed out west to Sin City. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Phil credits his success to hard work and an eternal love for the game of poker. Phil states that he is picking up skills every day and is incredibly humble about his success. He knows he makes blunders every single game of poker and always aspires to get better.
Despite the fact that Phil has won some large tournaments, he likes winning cash games on a regular basis.
