The Profitability of Playing Internet Poker Poker Three
Dec 192015

Gus Hansen enjoyed an amazing year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to make it to the last game in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may remember one of the largest pots in big stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. Gus raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best gamblers anywhere in the world. While wagering on web poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often plays in the 200/400 NL max buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen generally buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then pushes all-in. I know Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400NL. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has little or no reason to play at the table with the minimum buy in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the skill out of big stack poker. Gus is accepted to be one of the greatest poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The best players anywhere in the world may be guys you have won’t have heard of. Gus can be seen wagering on net poker on Full Tilt. He normally plays in big stakes omaha eight-or-better and hold’em. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he use his skills in money rounds?
